Superconducting phase transition in planar fermionic models with Dirac cone tilting

چکیده

The chiral and superconducting gaps are studied in the context of a planar fermion model with four-fermion interactions. effect tilt Dirac cone on both is shown discussed. Our results point to two different behaviors exhibited by fermionic systems. We show that there threshold value $\tilde{t}^*$ for effective parameter such when $|{\bf \tilde{t}}| < \tilde{t}^*$, phase persists negative values coupling constant. For positive constant, induction gap chemical potential exists which similar one seen graphene-like > \tilde{t}^*$ can be present, but it restricted smaller area portrait. analysis also shows presence ruled out. In this case, increase works favor manifestation metallic phase.

Digital quantum simulation of fermionic models with a superconducting circuit

One of the key applications of quantum information is simulating nature. Fermions are ubiquitous in nature, appearing in condensed matter systems, chemistry and high energy physics. However, universally simulating their interactions is arguably one of the largest challenges, because of the difficulties arising from anticommutativity. Here we use digital methods to construct the required arbitra...

Grafted Rods: A Tilting Phase Transition

A tilting phase transition is predicted for systems comprising rod like molecules which are irreversibly grafted to a flat surface, so that the non interacting rods are perpendicularly oriented. The transition is controlled by the grafting density ρ. It occurs as ρ increases as a result of the interplay between two energies. Tilt is favoured by the van-der-Waals attraction between the rods. It ...

Entanglement in fermionic systems at a quantum phase transition

We consider recent results on the use of the single-site entanglement measure for identifying and characterizing a quantum phase transition in systems of interacting fermions. We discuss the extension of these results to fermionic models where the single-site entanglement may fail to signal a quantum phase transition, with particular attention given to the one-dimensional extended UV Hubbard mo...

Casimir energy and the superconducting phase transition

We study the influence of Casimir energy on the critical field of a superconducting film, and we show that by this means it might be possible to directly measure, for the first time, the variation of Casimir energy that accompanies the superconducting transition. It is shown that this novel approach may also help clarifying the long-standing controversy on the contribution of TE zero modes to t...

The nuclear liquid–gas phase transition within Fermionic Molecular Dynamics

The time evolution of excited nuclei, which are in equilibrium with the surrounding vapour, is investigated. It is shown that the finite nuclear systems undergo a first oder phase transition. The caloric curve is presented for excited O, Mg, Al and Ca and the critical temperature is estimated for O. PACS: 24.10.Cn, 02.70.Ns, 05.30.-d, 05.30.Fk, 05.60.+w, 05.70.Fh
